Back With a New Egg --that pays DAILY!

If you want free lunch or free starbucks coffee on a daily basis look no further. I found a new facebook application that allows you to do little projects--sometimes for a nickle or a dime (and they take about 30 seconds) and other for as much as $2 (these take about 10 minutes). Cloud Crowd is a new facebook application allowing you to earn money at home---and the best part is you get paid daily via pay pal.

I made $8.54 yesterday--and the best part of Cloud Crowd is the program pays you on a commission basis. For example, I have 16 people working under my "cloud" and they made me $3.72 yesterday--and I didn't even lift a finger. Not bad!

Learn more about the program by clicking here! Would love to answer any questions or get your feedback!

So many eggs, so little time...

I honestly feel like I have fallen off the planet with this blog. I have not written since the 13th or so. Right now I am concentrating all my creative energy into so many different areas it is hard to stay on top of everything. When I quit my job in April, I felt that I would find something else. However, going back to being self-employed is quickly what my goal is once again. I worked in an office environment or 8 months--and I think it was just enough to remind me how good I had it working for myself. However I still have to cover the bills. So that brings me to all my little, colorful eggs....

My work for www.lambdaweddings will hopefully take off in a short period of time--and I am very excited to be part of this ground breaking effort as a wedding planner. Until then it seems my other little eggs are hatching pretty well---I was just signed on by Demand Studios as a freelance writer, and I have several other opportunities that bring me back to the days of writing---way back before I was painting. Hampton Wall Designs is back...I have had several clients contact me over the last few weeks and I will be doing some fantastic decorative paint projects in there homes--and you know it is always scaffolding with me!

Hopefully next week I will pick back up with my art--I have a new set of paintings ready to put on etsy, as well as my new series of BIG ART. Prestretched canvas that is MODERN, HUGE and of course ORIGINAL. So check back next week for more art, etsy and updates on my projects.

Marketing tidbit....The Lather Project

My last marketing post covered a fun way to update your blog with a series....Here is a sweet and short interview with Judy Hogan who is doing a fun series titled The Lather Project "30 soaps in 30 days"--today is day 4 of her soap series---take a peek by clicking here.

Why did you decided to do a soap series?
I had started my blog back in January but really wasn't doing much with it. I came to a crossroads in my business where I needed to dedicate some time to my blog, promote my new Etsy shop and focus on my soap product line. About 2 weeks ago I came up with The Lather Project - it would resolve all my issues in one shot! I could develop new products and build my soap inventory, bring readers to my blog & promote my shop all with one big series!

What has been the biggest challenge?
The biggest challenge has been time management. Making soap is the fun & creative part - I'm having a blast! But shooting the photos, writing the posts, listing the soaps - all while handling orders for my mineral makeup business has been much harder than I expected! But it's a wonderful challenge and a learning experience that I'm enjoying immensely.

That is alot of soap--but of course no one can have enough hand made soap in there home...What different kinds are you making? Anything unique?
Our family switched exclusively to handmade soap some time ago, and we use a lot of it, but you're right - I'll have over 90 lbs of soap at the end of the project!
I have some great plans! I hope to do a full tutorial for those looking to make their own soap, as well as offer a wide varity of different recipes, scents. types of soap and method of soapmaking. I like to think all my soaps are unique in one way or another, but I'm planning a few surprises!

You said you would be doing some contests and giveaways--can you tell us more?
I'd like to poll my readers to know what they'd like to see as far as scents and additives. I'd also love to do a 'Reader's Choice' and take online requests, so to speak! I now offer promo codes to my readers for discounts and free sample bars of The Lather Project soaps. And I am planning a few Giveaways for later on in the Series - we'll be giving away Lather Project soap and gift sets to a few lucky, loyal followers!

What do you think of the lather project? Does this inspire you to start your own collection and series? What should Judy's next soap be (I am a lover of citrus...gets me going in the morning!)

My new marketing tool...what do you think...

Now selling in my etsy shop!

Marketing Tidbit....Make it a series

Last year I created “31 birds in 31 Days” — a variety of birds created on canvas, paper, and through collage art all in one single month. A series is a great way to keep readers coming back to your blog or shop. The tough part about a series is making sure it runs smoothly from beginning to end. Thirty birds was a lot for me to paint, so planning ahead helped immensely. Series don’t have to be based on numbers, though it is an easy way to come up with items in groups---a series can be created around color, texture and shapes. Other series ideas include “All Things Red” “Silver Dust—20 items made of sparkles and silver” and “18 Circles”.

TIP: Create a logo or a series of logos for your series to create buzz---have a marketing plan with specific tactics leading up to day one in your series. Schedule in contests, trivia and other fun tidbits.

Have you started a series or have any that you would like to see...comment below!

Your new local business partner...

One big obstacle I see with shops is getting out of the Etsy Circle--and marketing to buyers that aren't part of the Etsy world. Sellers will always be buyers, however you have to grow into a new circle if you want to expand your business.

I am getting ready to promote a new item in my graphics shop, Hampton Graphics, that will allow you to get your name out into your local community. I can't tell you how excited I am about this new product....It is the perfect tool that market's itself, and requires no work on your part---the perfect marketing tool for the shy marketer. I have used this item for years ---it quietly got me business with little effort on my part and I suddenly realized what perfect tool it would be for Etsy sellers. It won't make you millions, but it will allow your business to brand itself in your community, and bring in local buyers. One local sale and it will pay for itself.

Need to work on a few more things before I promote this item....I am so excited about this! Stop back soon!
